Please read this FIRST
Welcome to BHAS-CFC Online. In the 1960s, two fanclubs ran for about six years in the UK: the Buddy Holly Appreciation Society and the Crickets Fan Club. This website continues the spirit of those organisations, without the membership fee. We felt there was a need for an open forum for fans, regardless of their views, where no-one is excluded unless they use inappropriate or abusive language. We would encourage you to post your thoughts on how this forum should be run under the Suggestions section below. We try to allow everyone to have their say. Please remember that the subject matter herein should usually relate to Buddy Holly & The Crickets although other matters may be discussed from time to time. If you choose to register we will not reveal your personal information to other third parties unless legally required to do so. Posts may be moderated - not by one person but by a small team of volunteer Moderators. Threads and forums may be pruned or deleted by the Moderators, usually due to unacceptable postings or lack of interest in a topic, ie little or no responses. Please respect the Moderators decisions and try to comply with their requests and amendments to a post for the sake of clarity or for legal reasons.

Reviews - New Releases - Radio & TV Programmes etc
Here's your chance to let everyone know what you think of recent releases, radio & TV programmes, books and the like. Please give full details of the item you are reviewing and if possible from where it can be obtained, and give as much helpful information about it as you wish, ie tracklistings for CDs and details of what a book or programme contains. When reviewing something for the first time, please create a new topic for that item and give it a heading so that other members can comment on and add information rel;ating to that item.

Were you a member of the BHAS or CFC?
It would be interesting to know how many members of the 1960s Buddy Holly Appreciation Society and Crickets Fan Club are still out there. Ex-members are still meeting for the first time at related events and it would be great to be able to keep in touch via this forum

How to place an advert in this section
How to Place Adverts on this website First off you need to Register for a member/user account on the BHAS-CFC Online site. When this is completed or if you already have a user account follow these steps to place adverts:- Click on the heading that matches what you want to advertise, ie 'For Sale' Click the new topic button which will open the message entry page. Enter a title in the subject box using the following format (60 Character Max):- Artist; Title; Catalogue number (if any); Location Subject line example:- Crickets; Live at London Palladium RCTC 4001 Hampshire, UK Type the full description of the item in the message body box. By default the email address in your Profile is spam protected from non-members. This can be changed so anyone can see your email by changing the "Always show my e-mail address" to "YES" on the Profile page. You can add your email address or telephone number in the main body copy of the advert. This is done at your own risk. If you want to add pictures click the browse button in the attachment section. Select the file name of the picture you wish to add and click the open button. More general details about how this forum works can be found within the FAQ section or click the button in the menu. To remove the advert (PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO DO THIS) Just add "- SOLD" in the subject line and it will be cleared out in a few days.
