Church League is a Christian comedy about a young man who has lost his way. Christian, Played by Joseph Sampson III, was an all-star high school basketball player who had everything that he wanted, A Collage Scholarship, A beautiful girlfriend, lots of friends and a loving family. However, an incident right before the state semi-final game turned his world upside down.
Nine years later, Christian is a slob who doesn't work plays video games all night with his best friend Scooter, played by Travis Nettles(201 Belmont) and has no ambitions for life. Until, he bumps into his old High School best friend who turned his life upside down Danny. Christian decides to enter a Church League basketball tournament to exact revenge and take out nine years of aggression out on Danny.
Along the way, he meets and although not his intention, falls for one of his team mates Summer, Played by Ragen Thomas. Who is a faithful dedicated christian. Now, Christian, Has a decision to make. Forgive Danny who he has disliked since that semi-final basketball game or Lose the girl he has fallen in love with and helped him become closer to God.
This is a laugh out loud comedy full of slapstick and witty humor. You will leave the theater with a message that We all are the Body of Christ and that you can develop faith through Forgiveness. [/code]
