Welcome to the new Lake Washington eagle cam! Very Happy

Below is the description from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

“This year we have retired the Puget Sound EagleCam and replaced it with the Lake Washington EagleCam. Located in a 100 foot tall Douglas fir tree, the bald eagle pair have been actively building their nest and should be able to be observed increasingly as the mating season and pair-bonding is upon us. This bald eagle cam was installed with a landowner’s invitation and cooperation and with the hope to share the unique views and interactions of a dramatically situated bald eagle nest.”

To start the thread, here are two pictures that Marcia captured yesterday morning.

Note the empty nest was taken at 8:44 AM and just two hours later, we have an eagle! Very Happy

Very Happy Great Pictures Shoebutton! This nest should turn out to be
great viewing and it will be later into the season for their eggs. After all our
others have hatched & maybe fledged - we will have Lake Washington!! Very Happy

Thank you and thank you for letting the forum know about this nest so Sherri / Judy could set up a thread for everyone. I look forward to watching these eagles.

Mema Jo, sorry.....didn't mean to slight you after you posted a link last night, but as I explained to you privately, the thread was in the works already.

However, even though you know the story, I don't want everyone else to think I am rude Rolling Eyes ....so..........thank you publicly! Very Happy
Look forward to your contributions! Very Happy
