EMTY, I was just thinking "why is it so dark there?" then I remembered they are in CO, two hours behind me! I guess I am just used to looking at the cams that are in EST. Laughing

There is an article in one of our local newspapers about Bald Eagles in Colorado and the comeback we have seen.

Go to RockyMountainNews.com.
There is a beautiful picture on the front page. They don't talk much about Fort St. Vrain specifically, but give several other locations of active nests. Interesingly several are in the Metro Denver area, very near residential sites.

If any of you have heard of Rocky Mountain Arsenal, it might be because for years it was a hazardous waste site. Cleaned up by the government to become a wild life preserve.

The slide show accompanying the article seems to show eagles from the Raptor Rehabilitation Center. They do wonderful educational work around the region. Kids just love their presentation in schools.

From the photo gallery
There seems to be more activities going on.
I checked several time frames and they spend more and more time in the nest. Very Happy
