You know, it's a good thing eagles don't hold grudges....
I was watching this nest today in part because the little one is two weeks old today.  And I saw Belle (I think) getting up from brooding the chick, so started taking pictures as the chick starts to get up and checks to see where dinner will be served:
Then chick says "I'll be there in just a minute, Mom"
Then ... well ... I wouldn't have believed it would ricochet so far 
 
And in spite of that, the little one still got its lunch!

I think Belle did have a few choice words for the little one
But then she did serve lunch, and I did get the pictures I wanted of a two week old eaglet - showing how tall he's getting and how you can see the darker second coat of down coming in
 
Then Belle left for a few minutes - possibly to take the eagle equivalent of a quick shower - and I think she had a few more things to discuss with the little one before she tucked him in for his afternoon nap.

I couldn't stand it any longer and had to just take a peek. Good timing, as our baby is being fed. I guess he/she is too big to call a baby anymore. I guess it is Belle doing the feeding. She keeps looking up and around. Watching for Lib to bring some fresh fish maybe as the nest is beginning to look a little empty.

WONDERFUL news, Paula......thanks! ....except that I just tried it and it isn't working for me. Do I have to click anywhere to get it going?
